Church History

Transforming Christian Life Ministries, Inc. has a rich history that shows our journey of faith, love, and growth. Elder Delene Mosby, our founding Pastor, established the ministry on January 11, 2015, with the official registration in the state of Maryland on December 14, 2014. Our humble beginning saw us gather for our inaugural service on January 11, 2015, held in a community room generously provided by a local business.

The ministry began with five individuals. Our congregation quickly expanded as more individuals joined our weekly services. Through fervent weekly bible studies, in various community spaces, the membership
flourished requiring the need for larger accommodations within a year.

Relocating to a small meeting room in a local hotel provided a temporary solution, but the opportunity to lease worship space from a clergy colleague allowed our ministry to grow. From 2017 to 2020, we worshiped at Newborn Faith Community Church, a period marked by both joyous fellowship and the sorrow of bidding farewell to two cherished members, our beloved church mother, and a faithful brother in the Lord.

With great joy, in 2021, Elder Cynthia Hudson was installed as the Co-Pastor of Transforming Christian
Life Ministries, Inc. The global pandemic of COVID-19 from 2020 to 2022 challenged us to adapt, transitioning seamlessly to virtual worship services via zoom while continuing to nurture our congregation’s spiritual well-being.
Despite physical barriers, our membership remained stable, a testament to our community’s resilience and
commitment to faith.

Throughout these trials and triumphs, TCLM has remained steadfast in its mission of ministering to the whole man from the inside out to help him reach his full divine potential and actively pursuing a major savings campaign aimed at securing property for worship and community outreach. Our faith-filled endeavors have borne fruit, paving the way for the gradual return to in-person worship starting in 2022 and expanding to weekly services by 2023, although with virtual options still available.

Additionally, TCLM in both vibrant sub-ministries including Women's Fellowship, Strong Families
Fellowship, Aged to Perfection (senior group) Youth and Young Adult Ministry, and Praise and Worship
Team serves as pillars of spiritual growth and community engagement.
As we look ahead, encouraged by the success of our major savings campaign, eagerly anticipate the acquisition of our own property to serve as a beacon of faith and a hub for community outreach, embodying our unwavering commitment to transforming lives through Christ.
